MEDIA RETRIEVAL...
The Media Retrieval System permits access and control of media sources. Using the existing cable infrastructure, a system can provide media retrieval without significantly increasing the price of the school's communication system.
The system allows an instructor from the classroom to operate a media device such as a VCR, Laser Disc, or DVD that is located at a central location in the facility. The media device can be controlled form either a handheld remote or the classroom telephone. An instructor may start, stop, pause and replay a program with the touch of a button. The program is transmitted from the media source equipment to the classroom television over the facility's broadband television network. |
